HACCP is a pro-active process control system by which food quality is ensured. This system has been adopted by many countries around the world and is mandatory in some countries.

WHAT are ISO 9001/2000 ?

The management of General Frozen Foods S.A, has decided to upgrade the Quality Assurance System from EN ISO 9002/94 to EN ISO 9001/2000, as it is described in the relevant Quality Manual with all the related procedures.
Quality assurance means showing respect to quality, the processes involved and the product.
How are ISO 9001/2000/Tests applied?
The whole production process is closely monitored, with all critical
control points identified and all the necessary inspections and checks
Before packaging the final product is subjected to the most rigorous checking process,
scrutinizing all the physical, chemical and micro- biological parameters which might affect its quality.
3. ISO 9001/ISO 22000
Cold Alex has been ISO 9001:2008 certified and ISO 22000:2005 and conforms to the requirements in ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005.Scope: Processing of frozen and canned vegetables and fruits.
The ISO 9001 Quality system and ISO 22000 Food Safety System (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) ensures Cold Alex’s products meet all food safety statutory, regulatory and customer requirements

4. ISO 14001
Cold Alex has been certified ISO 14001/2004.We provide evidence of continual improvement of Environmental Management.

5. OHSAS 18001
Cold Alex has been certified ISO 18001:2007. We apply a strict management system to identify and control health and safety risks.
At Cold Alex, we continually review and improve occupational health and safety to minimize risks during the production process.
6. Global Standard for Food Safety
We have been evaluated by CSI S.P.A ACCREDIA accredited Certification body no.032B and found to meet the requirements of Global Standard for Food Safety. Scope: processing, blanching, freezing of vegetable and fruit packaged in polyethylene bags; blanching, pasteurization and filling of vegetable and fruit in cans and glass jars

General Frozen Foods products are inspected through collaboration with accredited laboratories to ensure against
*Genetically modified organisms
Storage of products before distribution is fully regulated. Products are stored in conditions which will guarantee that they reach the consumer in perfect condition.
The refrigerated vehicles used for distribution of the company's products meet all the specifications laid down in the quality standard.
Quality certification means knowledge of the relevant legislation, application of the relevant laws and regulations and compliance with EU directives.
